Selected impact
The work goes beyond shipping one project. Each challenge is an opportunity to improve the platform, the process, and the team that carries it forward.
How reusable architecture, delivery standards, and CI/CD reduced average site delivery from five or six months to roughly six weeks.
Turning complex client requirements into durable tools, shared capabilities, and clearer paths for other developers to contribute.
Making accessibility, security, responsible AI, and technical guidance part of everyday delivery rather than separate initiatives.
How I lead
I stay close to architecture, implementation, debugging, and release work—especially when a complex platform needs a clear path forward. That technical grounding makes tradeoffs more concrete and recommendations more credible.
The best fix is rarely useful only once. I look for the reusable capability behind a client request: shared packages, safer defaults, clearer standards, better admin tools, or a workflow other engineers can own confidently.
Mentoring, code review, technical guidance, and responsible AI practices help developers expand their judgment—not just complete the next ticket. Quality and ownership grow together when expectations are visible and support is practical.
Enterprise context
Selected organizations served through direct development, technical leadership, or platform stewardship.
Experience
From precision engineering to enterprise web leadership, the through-line is systems thinking, careful execution, and steady ownership.
Pace Communications
Lead the Interactive Digital Department across platform strategy, architecture, delivery, security, accessibility, process improvement, and team development.
Pace Communications
Progressed through senior, lead, and associate-director roles by combining hands-on delivery with stronger shared systems, standards, and technical guidance.
Independent web design and development
Guide projects end to end—from requirements and design through custom development, performance, deployment, and client training.
TIAA-CREF · Wells Fargo
Built accessible prototypes and enterprise intranet applications while collaborating with product owners, analysts, and distributed engineering teams.
Manufacturing systems
Designed automated manufacturing systems with Pro/Engineer and AutoCAD, establishing the precision and systems mindset that still shapes my work.
About Dennis
I am a player-coach by nature: curious enough to stay in the details, accountable enough to finish, and always looking for the system behind the immediate problem.
My early work in mechanical design taught me that complex systems become dependable through precision, thoughtful interfaces, and respect for the people who operate them. That perspective carried naturally into web engineering and now into leadership—where the system includes architecture, delivery, clients, and the team itself.
Away from a screen, I recharge through reading, playing boardgames, hiking, and woodworking: different ways of learning how things fit together and what careful progress looks like.
